NHD Reflection

The topic I chose for NHD was The Great Compromise. The way I decided to display my project was through an exhibit. I only had one partner while doing this project and that person was Atiya Groomes. During the process of doing this project I learned a couple of things such as the importance of research, the importance of teamwork, and i learned alot about my topic. In any project research is the most important thing because it gives you good and accurate information about your project, depending on how well you research. I used alot of internet sources which are secondary sources but i found it better to do interviews and going behind your limit to get information. A lot of books will help also. What I learned about my project was I found out what it was first because I didn't really know what it was when it was first mentioned to me. I also found out that the conflict was a Debate between two states(Virginia & New jersey) about representation for each state and the compromise was that each state would be given to senators for each house of representatives. One major thing about my project was teamwork. Without teamwork i wouldn't of had a project. My partner and I divided up the work and did different things which helped us accomplish more things at one time. I personally think that NHD isn't as hard as every said it was going to be. It was a little out of order at first but as it got organized to me it was cake. Pretty much everything we did was successful as far as the interviews, all the information, and getting our board together but there was one problem we had and that was finding pictures of the documents from each state. We overcame this challenge by looking at more internet sources and not giving up. Next year I think that we should start preparing for NHD earlier than we did this year so it can give people who didn't do that well more time to make their project nice.
